Nothing says peace like knit guns

I am about 4 years two late on this, but Jess Stephens had a pretty cool thing goin' with "Knit for Peace." Essentially a bunch of people from around the world knit guns to speak out against firearms. Knit objects are funny looking, and guns are bad, so I dig.

I get a kick out of people who love America more than they love their own mothers. The real question is: which one of these people loves America more? I mean after all,
that fanny pack was probably made in from American cotton, that was shipped to China to be manufactured by young children, and then shipped back here to be bought by that dude in a Family Dollar store.

Some celebrate with fireworks, some with cheese?

Sculptor Troy Landwehr decided to show his patriotism this 4th of July by spending 8 hours carving his depiction of the signing of the Declaration of Independence out of...Cheddar Cheese. The Sculpture was and may still be on display in Times Square. How inspirational.
